The silica dust produced from cutting fiber cement can shorten the motor life in a regular circular saw causing wobble and compromised cuts. The unique dust collection system was designed to channel the dust away from the motor for improved saw life and increased efficiency. This saw has a best-in-class, powerful 15 amp Dual-Field Motor that keeps the motor cool through the toughest cuts. The removable nylon cord and hose sleeve protects against snagging and marring when cutting. Weighing only 9 lbs. the Sidewinder has a resin body with magnesium guard and footplate for lightweight durability. This 7-1/4 in. saw has a max cutting capacity of 2-7/16 in. at 90° with a maximum 56° bevel capacity featuring positive stop at 0° and 45°. Ideal for fiber cement applications such as siding and cutting backer board.
